Country Manager – Bangladesh Liaison Office
Job Description:
– Drive all categories forward through proactive sourcing of new products with a competitive advantage
– Establish excellent communication channels with key stakeholders to identify profit opportunity and meet their product priorities
– Source a robust supply base when required
– Implement an effective management strategy to deliver continuous improvement in suppler performance
– Drive your team to the end to end critical path, leading across functional colleagues in ensuring key milestones are met by customers and suppliers
– Ensure your team fully implement our Standard Operating Procedures following best practice to manage risk in the project cycle from factory visit through to inspection
– Ensure your team has adequate resources to efficiently fulfill their objectives, with adequate systems and processes in place to meet expectations
– Manage your team’s performance against key targets including cost savings, capacity planning, shipments and operating costs against budget as well as range of operational metrics
– Manage the development of your team’s core sourcing and merchandising skills
– Work closely with support functions within the office to ensure soundless day to day working within different departments
– Manage excellent relationship with all stakeholders. Waterloo Team, suppliers and leadership team
Core Areas of Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Outstanding leadership capability and attention to detail in any challenges
• Ability to develop and implement effective strategic initiatives in sourcing and merchandising
• High level of commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, ability to think on your feet
• Clear and confident communicator with sound judgment under pressure
• Relationship builder – ability to identify, engage, and lead
• First class knowledge of production processes, techniques, and product components
• Robust understanding technical standards, packaging processes & logistics initiatives
• Extensive (10 years-*-) sourcing and merchandising experience across different product categories across the region
• Graduate / Post Graduate from any university
• Excellent communication and computer knowledge specially in Power Points presentation
