Position: General Manager (Regulatory Affairs Division)
Major Conditions, Roles/Responsibilities
- Shall report to the Chief Regulatory Officer and shall oversee efficient functioning of various departments within the division in accordance with regulations related to capital market operations and terms of reference approved by the Board;
- Must not be a connected person with TREC holders, strategic investor(s), or any financial institution;
- He and his family member(s) shall not be engaged in any investment activity with reference to the shares of the Exchange or any listed company;
- Shall be well-conversant with Information Technology solutions related to Capital Market activities and surveillance;
- Shall carry out all regulatory activities as per Securities Rules/Regulations/ Directives and related issues on money market and capital market operations;
- Should have ability to examine and ensure compliance of Securities related laws;
- Shall develop plans and provide visionary guidelines for short-/long-term actions for strategic, financial and operational activities to meet the compliance requirements;
- Proven inter-personal and communicative skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals;
- Must not exceed 45 years of age on 08 June, 2017.
Educational qualification and professional experience
The General Manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of Capital Market operations and following educational qualification and professional experience:
(a) Bachelor and Masters in business, economics or law including not less than 12 (twelve) years management experience;
(b) Professional designation like CFA, CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA.
- Shall report to the Managing Director and shall oversee efficient functioning of various departments within the division in accordance with regulations related to capital market operations and terms of reference approved by the Board;
- Must not be a connected person with TREC holders, strategic investor(s), or any financial institution;
- He and his family member(s) shall not be engaged in any investment activity with reference to the shares of the Exchange or any listed company;
- Shall be well-conversant with Information Technology solutions related to Capital Market activities;
- Shall develop and/or update business plan for new market, products and services;
- Shall guide Research and Information in formulating new research interests and automating data processing for routing work;
- Shall prepare proposals for new revenue generation avenues for the DSE;
- Must not exceed 45 years of age on 08 June, 2017.
Educational qualification and professional experience
The General Manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of Capital Market operations and following educational qualification and professional experience:
(a) Bachelor and Masters in Business/Economics/Marketing including not less than 12 (twelve) years management experience;
(b) Professional designation like CFA, CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA.

- Must not be a connected person with TREC holders, strategic investor(s), or any financial institution;
- He and his family member(s) shall not be engaged in any investment activity with reference to the shares of the Exchange or any listed company;
- Shall be well-conversant with Information Technology solutions related to Capital Market activities;
- Must not exceed 45 years of age on 08 June, 2017.
Educational qualification and professional experience
The General Manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of Information Technology related to Capital Market operations or financial industry and following educational qualification and professional experience:
- M.Sc./ B.Sc in Computer Science Engineering/Applied Physics with Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Applied Physics Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering from a reputed university.
- Minimum 12 (twelve) years of management experience in the field of ICT division/department of a world-class financial institutions or reputed organization preferably in the Capital Market.
- Experience in mainframe environment and expertise in analysis, design & operation of enterprise level system in world-class financial institutions preferably in the Capital Market.
- Sound understanding of communication infrastructure both on LAN & WAN under different types of communication media.
- Experience in managing Enterprise level System, Data Communication, Cyber security, Software/Web development, Network support, Application support and Office Automation.
- Proven track record as of working team leader in several IT projects;
- Strong personality and ability to supervise the activities of a large number of multidiscipline ICT experts/employees.
- Communication and negotiation skills both verbal and written of high standard;
- Preparation of Technical Documentation, ICT budgeting and professional quality status reports related to ICT.
