Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), a public-private partnership organization, is the market leader in developing and financing private sector infrastructure, renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Bangladesh. IDCOL solicits applications for the positions mentioned below:

1. Manager (Agriculture-Monitoring), Renewable Energy Project: 1 Post

A. Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Irrigation and Water Management and B. Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from reputed university with minimum 1st class or CGPA of 3.00 and first class/division in all other examinations;
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in related field;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Bengali;
  • Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis.

В. Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct site suitability analysis as well as calculate site specific water requirement and total dynamic head (TDH) for solar irrigation pump sites considered for IDCOL financing;
• Design pipeline for solar irrigation pumps approved by IDCOL;
• Monitor the performance of solar irrigation projects in terms of project operation and revenue collection;
• Maintain coordination with solar irrigation sponsors and provide revenue targets and monitor achievement of the same in consultation with other units;
• Identify issues and take mitigation measures to improve performance of solar irrigation projects financed by IDCOL;
• Provide on and off-site training to sponsors, pump operators, farmers, IDCOL officials and inspectors on improved on-farm water management techniques, water scheduling, crop scheduling, efficient cropping pattern, and other related aspects of solar irrigation;
• Collect and maintain season-wise database on TDH, cropping pattern, irrigation coverage, irrigation charges, etc. for each solar irrigation project financed by IDCOL;
• Benchmark various parameters related to solar irrigation projects based on real-life experience and suggest improvements in project design;
• Collaborate with other government, non-government, private sector, local and international agencies working in the agriculture sector to improve the agricultural and irrigation performance under IDCOL solar irrigation as well as other renewable energy projects/programs;
• Maintain satisfactory knowledge about market, regulation and other related aspects;
• Any other activities as assigned from time to time.

C. Age limit: 35 years

BDT 96,923 + Festival Bonus + LFA + Gratuity + other benefits as per company policy.

2. Manager/Assistant Manager (Monitoring-Renewable Energy Project): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 1st class or CGPA of 3.00 and first class/ division in all other examinations;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis;
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience for Manager position and 3 years’ for Assistant Manager position in solar energy.

B. Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze technical performance of projects, identify problems, if any, and suggest mitigation measures;
• Coordinate with the technical unit and suppliers to address any technical issues identified during inspection;
• Maintain regular follow-up with different stakeholders for smooth operation of projects under Renewable Energy Project unit;
• Provide input in technical designs for future projects based on real-life experience as well as data collected from field;
• Conduct frequent field visits to assess implementation progress as well as operational performance of projects under Renewable Energy Project Unit;
• Monitor and supervise activities of IDCOL’s inspection team;
• Coordinate with Human Resource unit to address issues related to inspection team;
• Arrange field survey of potential project sites;
• Review inspection reports and arrange timely submission of reports;
• Any other activities as assigned from time to time.

3. Senior Officer (Environment & Social Safeguard): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• Post-graduate or graduate degree in relevant discipline (Environmental, Social Sciences, and Engineering) with minimum CGPA of 3.30;
• Minimum 2 years’ practical experience is required;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
• Review the environmental and social risks and impacts;
• Visit the proposed project site and assess suitability of the site considering tentative environmental and social impacts and prepare site visit reports;
• Guide sponsors to communicate the applicable standards and compliance processes of the Department of Environment (DOE), World Bank, IFC, ADB and other development partners;
• Review internal environmental policies & practices and ensure compliances;
• Assist and communicate with the respective senior officials about the latest environmental and social standards and practices;
• Any other activities as assigned from time to time.

4. Assistant Manager (PPP & Investment Advisory): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• BBA/MBA/M.Sc. (along with an undergraduate degree in Finance/ Banking) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Bengali;
• Strong skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis and presentation software;
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a Bank or NBFI.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with Unit Head to develop a strong pipeline of good quality investment opportunities in the relevant sector;
• Participate in deal structuring and negotiation meetings;
• Prepare project appraisal/feasibility reports, financial models, and risk grading models, agenda paper, memo, and minutes for CRM/CC/Board meetings;
• Monitor financial, operational, environmental & social performance/covenants/ conditions of projects;
• Maintain liaison with the project sponsors, co-financiers, credit line providers, account bank, agents, independent engineers/advisors and related stakeholders;
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management.

5. Senior Officer (Technical): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum CGPA of 3.00;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis;
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in the relevant field.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in setting/improving technical standards under IDCOL’s Renewable Energy (RE) activities;
• Participate in preparation of training materials under various RE projects;
• Participate in technical appraisal of various RE projects;
• Conduct field visit to assess technical performance of equipment’s/products under RE projects;
• Provide necessary technical advice to sponsors in development of RE projects;
• Arrange meetings of the technical standards committee;
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management.

6. Assistant Manager (Procurement): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• B.Sc. (Engineering) or 8ВА/ Master degree in business/ economics/ science with minimum CGPA of 3.00;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Computer skills with the ability to type in Bangla;
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in the relevant field;
• Updated knowledge on procurement rules, policies and methods.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and regularly update an overall procurement plan for all goods, works and services;
• Coordinate with other departments for justified material requisitions;
• Manage the entire procurement formalities properly;
• Make sure that the required product is procured in right time, accurate quality with proper market price;
• Prepare reports and defend reviews and audits by internal and external parties on procurement functions;
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management.

7. Manager/Assistant Manager (Risk & Special Asset Management Unit): 1 Post
A. Qualifications
• BBA/MBA/Master degree in business/ economics with minimum CGPA of 3.00;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Computer skills with the ability to type in Bangla;
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Manager position and 3 years’ for Assistant Manager position on risk management functions in bank/ financial institutions.

В. Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in conducting risk assessment, related due diligence work and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures for transactions;
• Assist with the internal and external reporting obligations of Risk Management department;
• Maintain proper documentation of all analysis and monitoring reports;
• Assist in working for improvement of non-performing transactions;
. Assist in ensuring credit risk exposures are managed within established internal/external limits and standards including regulatory requirements;
• Maintain, monitor and calculate credit risk points which act as a threat to the health of company loan portfolio;
• Prepare risk management paper monthly for submission to the regulatory authorities;
• Maintain and analyze operational risk database and conduct detailed trend study for better understanding of instances;
• Assist in formulation of company policies, guidelines and practices on risk management and portfolio monitoring for approval by the Board;
. Maintain knowledge of emerging best practices in risk management, contribute to maintain and eventually to improve prevailing risk management process of the company;
• Support other teams in developing their capacity on risk management;
• Work within a frame work of company policies, principles and goals;
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management.
