Orientworks Inc. (www.orientworks.net) is a Canadian buying agency with a local office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We service the needs of speciality and department stores, catalogue companies, wholesalers and importers from anywhere in the world.

Position: Business Development Manager

We are looking for a top notch sales and business development manager to grow our salesby prospecting for new clients to develop the pipeline for new business coming into the company. The position is ideally to be based out of our Dhaka office. However for expats, we will consider locating this role from the home country, if required.

Requirements:

• You need to be in a leadership role currently with a garment buying agency or a garment manufacturing exporter in the area of business development with a track record of success in sales.
• You have travelled extensively and have existing relationships with potential customer base in the target markets of Europe, Australia, USA, and Asia.
• You have a good understanding of fashion trends and range building to make effective presentations to potential customers
• You are knowledgeable about fabric /trims sourcing to service your product and range building needs
• You understand margin requirements at all levels and are experienced in price negotiations.

The ideal candidate will be able to support the sales plan with a pro-active “roll up my sleeve” attitude to deliver results, experienced in price negotiations.
