The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Bangladesh is inviting applications from experienced and skilled short-term consultant to support FAO in the development of a national strategy to ensure a dependable supply of horticultural crops through consistency in the implementation of Agricultural Codes of Practice (CoP) based on the FAO Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The consultant will work closely with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in the training of farmers, value chain actors and will support the work aimed at linkage of producers with buyers and traders. The Consultant will also support FAO in finalizing materials for improving food safety in the horticulture value chain, including user friendly agricultural extension materials and assist in developing field monitoring tools.

The candidates are invited for the following position under FAO project GCP/BGD/047/NET Improving Food Safety in Bangladesh”. Incumbents will be recruited as Short-term Consultant.
