The Bank is currently looking for pro-active, goal-oriented, enthusiastic individual for the following position:

HEAD OF INTERNAL CONTROL & COMPLIANCE (ICC)

Background
Internal Control and Compliance Division provides independent assessments of the Bank’s governance, risk management and internal control environment. ICC is a change agent within the Bank to enhance the control culture and thereby, support senior management decision across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities
• Formulate and implement Internal Control. Compliance policies and processes for BRAC Bank in line with Core Risk Management recommendation by Bangladesh Bank and Bank’s Shareholders
• Prepare the annual audit plan & calendar for the Bank and have it approved by the Board of Directors
• Conduct Internal Audits in all Branches. SME Unit Offices. Head Office Departments of the Bank as per prescribed frequency
• Verify that the control policies and procedure are complied with; reinforce the control systems through regular review
• Monitor and follow-up compliance of various (Bangladesh Bank, BRAC. Commercial and Internal) Audit findings
• Work as point of contact when audits and inspections are conducted by regulatory authorities
• Investigate and provide reports on frauds and forgeries of the Bank
• Prepare and submit various audit reports / findings to MD and Board Audit committee

Key qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
• Work experience of 10+ years in the financial services industry
• Leadership positions in Business, Risk Management, IA. Compliance or related fields a plus
• In depth knowledge of Retail / Wholesale businesses, products and industry
• Good knowledge of banking product related regulations and industry standards including infrastructure requirements and related controls

Competencies:
• Proficient in MS Office applications necessary for executing on job responsibilities
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills
• Superior linguistic skills with the ability to direct and oversee development of high quality policy/procedure documentation
• Executive presentation skills a key requirement
• Ability to design and develop effective risk measurement indicators and concepts

Education:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Law. or related field
• Experience/knowledge of data base or MIS management tools a plus
• Professional qualification (Chartered Accountant or similar professional Audit qualification) will be given preference
